Generation ‘S’ for Scooter: do you zip?

Kids have certainly gone mobile and not only on their parent’s iPads which they have now claimed as their own, but on their own modes of transport. It is also handy that their favourite mode of transport now comes in as many colours and models as an adult’s car. Pink, neon green, subtle blue, yellow or red, the choice is theirs. Yes, it’s the Scooters.

Colourful scooters and happy kids zip about the London streets all day long and smart parents have nothing else but to find a stylish matching solution… So fastforward 2 years, it’s not the car parking lots or the electrical parking charges – it’ll be the scooter lanes that we will need.

Yummy & Olympic is voting for Scootering as Britain’s favourite kid sport and Athena, the goddess of Exploring and Scooter certainly agrees:

The Story of the Yummy & O.L.M.P.C land

Imagine a land far far away, with a sunny sky and a tall and elegant mountain called Olympus in the middle. Lush green golf fields, football pitches and basketball pads nested in the middle; a beautiful pool for swimming and water polo and a bigger lake for sailing, canoeing and boat pedalling towards the back. To the left, grass tennis courts with wonderfully bright, neon tennis balls and raquettes and close by a cherry tree orchard for graceful ballerinas dancing around in their tutu’s. Crossing the fields and connecting the lake and the swimming pool there are cycling and scootering lanes. All the way to the left, there are woods for horseriding, archery and practicing Judo.

This is an Olympic land. It’s called olympic not only because of the beautiful tall mountain but also because of it’s history – the ancient timeline which goes back thousands of years where time was counted in olympiads: each one lasting 4 years. But do not worry the birthdays and other important celebrations still happened every year!

All in all it’s a beautiful land. And right there live the 12 gods and goddesses, all masterful sportsmen, who love having fun and dedicating time to their sporty achievements.

They usually meet at the end of each day to talk about the daily gossip and things that they learnt and today is no different. Leisurely scootering past the swimming lake, there are Apollo and Athena, who have just finished practicing their serves and throws ahead of the big Olympic Tennis Tournament.

‘I am just so good at serves’ continued boasting Apollo in his usual charming way. ‘Do you know why I am the best at the serves? In fact, the bestest? The best of the bestest? Why? Why?’….

Aphrodite, goddess of Ballet and Fashion

Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty. A vision in pink, she loves everybody and everybody loves her! Aphrodite is a talented ballerina. She is naturally elegant and graceful and loves twirling around to practice her dance moves. But don’t be fooled by her looks, she is a tough cookie and when age and experience permits, will poll for a presidential princess.

Aphrodite likes to make everywhere around her look just as great as she does, so she loves decorating, painting, drawing princesses and adding sparkles. Aphrodite is a true fashionista, she dresses herself and always knows best on how to mix and match. An absolute goddess in pink.

Mothers & Olympic spirit: catch the trend

Of course it’s natural for any mother to trot around most stylish cities of the world in sport inspired corsets, tight skirts and Laboutin heels. In fact, we have all done it, we do it every day….

Well at least in spirit… Either way, who cares that it’s terribly impractical? It’s a stunning trend and a beautiful photoshoot from Vogue.

Time to shape up and trot with the head high full of olympic spirit and impeccably dressed kids (no nanny in sight, so she must have done it all on her own). ‘I don’t know how she does it!!!’

Zeus, God of Scooter and Car Racing

The olympian athlete Zeus thrives on excitement, and whilst his football never leaves his side, his scooter is his most precious sporting companion. Scootering around Mt. Olympus and mastering his many talents, Zeus cherishes the time he gets to spend playing Nintendo and Lego.

He may be an olympian, but Zeus’s hobbies stretch far beyond that of the sporting world, although dinosaurs and cars just might be his biggest weaknesses. Whatever his passion, he can’t wait to show off his mighty, heroic skills.

Zeus, God of Football and Lightning Speed

Curious and witty, Zeus is a masterful sportsman. His great great grandfather was the God of lighting and thunder and champion of the Olympian gods. Zeus has certainly inherited the lightning speed, which he uses to fire penalty shots on a football pitch, run with his friends and ride his super fast scooter.

Overflowing with energy and action, Zeus loves football. If he isn’t shooting lightening then he’s on the pitch, shooting penalties. Zeus is a mighty hero like no other and he has great friends to practice his olympic skills

Yummy & O.L.M.P.C. sportswear launch

Yummy & O.L.P.C. is elegant sportswear for kids, inspired by the original Olympians, the greek Gods. Kids can have fun dressing up as almighty heroes and choosing their favourite olympic characters.
