Mobile Revolution – leave the kids alone.

25 Aug

The Times have named smartphones and tablets the pencil cases of today. So what have been kids doing to cause such a revolution? From personal experience, games are favourites by far. 3-5 year olds love spelling games, shapes and objects, music and animals.

Music browsing is the second favourite with kids taking sudden affinity to latest music releases, cartoon soundtracks and dancing hits. Songs from the motion picture RIO are really loved.

Taking photos and photo browsing is a gripping, fun activity and also allows kids to remember the fun moments. My younger one loves playing with Instagram’s filters as well.

Finally, but probably most importantly – viewing films, clips and videos. This is priceless and finally accounts for the calm, enjoyable overseas flights, impeccable behaviour during travel and a lot of happy gigling. Peppa Pig is the winner here, especially on the iPad.
