68th Venice Film Festival – what’s on for kids

31 Aug

There are a number of wonderfully glamorous events in our diaries, that are simply unmissable and Venice Film Festival is definitely one of them. Tonight, the Venice Lido will fill up with film makers and film lovers from around the World to criticise, praise and taste the 65 feature films. The festival starts with tonight’s screening of George Clooney’s film ‘The Ideas of March’.

And whilst we are watching the ceremony, reading about the films or attending the ceremonies and watching the films, we’ll look out for the kids movies at the Festival. In the meantime, here are some ideas for films for the little ones. Albeit, with their fast grasp of the iphone4 camera option, a few are bound to become filmmakers in their own right in the near future!

RIO, the movie by 20th Century Fox, brilliant for getting kids to samba around the house and get them singing.

Toy Story. Simply the most favourite film ever

Peppa Pig. The cute piglet family is a treat for the whole family

‘Hubble’ Space Telescope, not to miss, kids as young as 3 enjoy it enormously (IMAX 3D)

… And of course we’d love to hear about your favourites as well!
